I am known for being a grinch outside of December - especially in October.
I scowl at Christmas trees and decorations going up in shops in September, and Christmas music being played in August.
BUT, I'm also a card carrying geek! and anyone who has found the Seagnoid's The Sk’resh’s Eeen (or solved many of the SHEILD or VIKING or STICKMAN series) will know that there are multiple counting systems where they use a different "base".
We are all used to Base10 (otherwise known as Decimal), but there is another that uses Base8 (called Octal).
Can you guess what 25DEC is in Base8? 31OCT!
