Welcome to the Comsewogue Public Library! You can check out more than just books here—so take a look around!—There is a geocache hidden somewhere in these shelves….but you need to solve a few problems before you can get the final location. This cache was placed with library permission.

Go to the given coordinates for parking. The first waypoint tell you the department and section where the final cache is located.

The cache is located at Dewey decimal ABC.DEFG somewhere in the library. Go back and forth throughout the library to find the answers to seven questions that will reveal the missing numbers of the book location.

A. When you go to the adult department, go down to the lower level to find three display cases against the window showcasing old relics from Terryville and Port Jefferson Station’s history. In the middle display case there is an old ticket for Gentleman’s Driving Park. What year is the ticket? (Third # = A)

B. There is a black plaque walking into adult department on the right wall. There is a framed article from The ___ Times Record. How many letters in this missing word? (=B)

C. Returning to the Adult lower level go to the first display case, showcasing old glass plates What is the year on the left plate? (Last # = C)

D. Miss Lotta Scales the dragon is one of many sculptures on CPL property made by artist Paul Suominen. She is located outside but can be seen from the lobby window. How many teeth does the dragon have? (Second # = D)

E. In the DVD room to the left of the snack and coffee area, there are several plastic pamphlet holders on the wall advertising local entertainment. There is a yellow ticket at the bottom of this display showing two numbers on either side. What is the last digit of the second number? (=E)

F. When you walk into the gallery, you will see five big words above the doors inside. Two of these letters are capital Rs. going from left to right what number is this first letter R? (=F)

G. In the lobby, there are several awards and plaques on the wall by the restrooms. What year did the Library win their first America’s star libraries award? (Add last two #’s = G)

The geocache is located inside the library. When you find the cache, please sign the logbook, trade some swag, and please return where you found it! I hope you enjoyed the puzzle!
