Her hvor du står eller sidder nu, stod tidligere et vinkelfyr, som hjalp skibe med at navigere sikkert gennem Svendborg Sund. Så kom den store dok du kan se foran dig, med maleriet på siden, og man var nødt til at ændre fyrvinklerne lidt. Derfor blev fyret her nedlagt og i stedet blev der opsat det lille hvide hus du kan se lidt til venstre for dokken. Det er det "nye" fyr.
At this plance was formerly a small lighthouse, which assisted the vessels to navigate safely through Svendborg Sound. Then the big blue dock in front of you, with the painting on the side came and it was needed to change the light angles a bit. The lighthouse at this place was removed and replaced by the small white lighthouse you can see just a bit left of the dock. It is a wonderful place to sit and relax while enjoying the view of Svendborg Sund and the entrence to Svendborg Harbour
