Sam Kow Tong Temple practices Sanyiism (Three-in-one teaching), a unique doctrine that assimilates the philosophy of Taoism and Buddhism into that of Confucianism. The philosophy was developed by Lin Zhao'en who was born in the 16th century into a confucianfamily in Putian in the Fujian Province of southeast China. After his death, he was deified as Sanyi Jiaozhu (Lord of Three in One). The Fujian Government has recognised Sanyiism as a distinct and separate religion.
The temple was established in 1916 by the Heng Hua Community who settled here from Fujian. Originally it was a wooden building with a thatch roof. The temple was later rebuilt and renovated a number of times. The current building was constructed in 2001. The roof is ornately carved with the dragon motif dominating its design as is typical in most Fujian style. It is decorated using colourful porcelain shards in the southern Chinese style known as chien nien (cut and paste). The twenty-four tales exemplifying filial piety contained in a text from Tuan Dynasty (1260 - 1368) can be found in the pictorial form on two panels decorating the front walls.
The main sanctum in the temple houses Lin Zhai'en in his role as the Lord of Three in One and the enclosure on the left houses Zhuo WanChun, his taoist teacher. A shrine on the upper floor houses the original images in this temple. To the right of this shrine are two puppet dieties (male and female). Before a puppet show is held at the temple, these two dieties are invoked and invited to participate in the show. The new building next to this was constructed to house Mazu, the sea Goddess.

The traditional way to solve them is to plug in the three numbers from the cache listing into the cartidge and then keep opening it. It will tell you each time how far you are away from the cache location, but NOT the direction. You quickly work out that there is no limit to how many times you open the page so you pretty much do it continously and the distance will go downif you go in the right direction.
