Bem-vindo/a ao coração do Oeste, terra fértil onde nasce um dos maiores símbolos da fruticultura portuguesa: a Pera Rocha.
A Pera Rocha é uma variedade autóctone portuguesa, descoberta em 1836 na propriedade de Pedro António Rocha, em Sintra. Hoje, encontra aqui no Oeste (sobretudo no Bombarral, Cadaval, Torres Vedras e Mafra) as condições ideais de solo argilo-calcário e clima atlântico para crescer com qualidade. Atualmente, a região produz em média 200 mil toneladas por ano, das quais mais de metade é exportada para vários países.

Welcome to the heart of the Oeste region, a fertile land where one of the greatest symbols of Portuguese fruit growing is born: the Rocha Pear.
The Rocha Pear is a native Portuguese variety, discovered in 1836 on the property of Pedro António Rocha, in Sintra. Today, it finds in the Oeste (especially in Bombarral, Cadaval, Torres Vedras and Mafra) the ideal conditions of clay-limestone soils and Atlantic climate to grow with quality. Currently, the region produces an average of 200,000 tons per year, more than half of which is exported to several countries.
