INTRODUCTION TO THIS SERIES:
We wanted to try something a little different than what we’ve previously seen with geocaches. At the time of creating this series (“FALLing Into Place”), August is coming to a close and fall is approaching, so we chose a seasonal theme. Each container visually aligns with the theme and includes fun facts related to autumn. The SWAG is not themed, just the containers. We’d love to see your photos posted, so if you’d rather not risk seeing a “spoiler,” you may want to avoid looking at photos until after you’ve found the geocache yourself. As time passes, we’ll see how this experiment holds up in practice, we’ll take note of comments to see what the geocaching community thinks, and we’ll make adjustments accordingly. In the meantime, we hope you’ll enjoy this adventure with us!
NOTES ON THIS PARTICULAR GEOCACHE:
+ This geocache went missing and was replaced on 2/11/2026. Because the original hiding spot was compromised, we relocated the replacement a few feet away. The coordinates and riddle have been updated to reflect this change.
+ While this location is visible from multiple trails, they are not main trails, so it is usually not difficult to access this geocache without being witnessed by muggles.
+ There is no “door” on this one. Please Do Not move any surrounding rocks. Nothing needs to be moved to access this geocache.
+ We recommend wearing gloves to reach your hand into any geocache hiding spot.
RIDDLE:
As their emerald hair fades to brown,
The strands fall onto the ground.
These young twins stand east of a hiding place
Concealed within rocks in a small dark space.
