Geocache Description:

I went out with Clan Riffster, (AKA: Old, Fat, Crippled Dude, With A Smelly Hat, or OFCDWASH, for short), presumably to help him hide an ammo can, along the Two Bridges trail. Little did he know, I had nefarious plans, regarding his ammo can. If you don't know by know, he's not the sharpest crayon in the box.

You see, I am a history buff, and I was recently reviewing some papers from Cisserro de Beaudreux, famed chemistry professor of Sapienza University of Rome, and, coincidentally, my great uncle. Uncle Cisserro passed these documents on to my father, who later passed them on to me. A study of these revealed that the origin of the brand name of a common, over the counter medication, used to treat minor cuts and scrapes, has its roots in both Roman history and, and, a typo. (Or, so they claim...)

In 1951, a group of Roman scientists were looking to brand a topical antibiotic lotion, (which shall not be named, as doing so might violate Groundspeak's commercial guidelines), and wanted the brand name to give a nudge to their Roman heritage. My uncle was part of that team, and spent a few days playing with various names, eventually combining "Neo", (meaning new), "SPQR", (meaning Senatus Populusque Romanus), and "On", (meaning topically applied), coming up with "NeoSPQRon". He excitedly submitted this name to the group, and the dude who was the scribe for that meeting allegedly mistyped it. When the mountain bike community named the westmost Snow Hill mountain bike trail, after this medication, I knew I had to share the tale, with my geocaching friends.

However, I lacked one crucial element, a stocked ammo can. But Riffster has a bunch! I simply bided my time, waiting for the day when OFCDWASH was with me, on this trail, with a stocked ammo can. You see, not only does Riffster love tacos, old trucks, and naps, he also loves really kewl trees. I simply had to show him this tree, at the posted coordinates, and he was hooked. He agreed that we had to hide a cache here, and donated his ammo can, for this cache. The Two Bridges cache will just have to wait.

Ha! I knew that sucker would fall for my duplicity! Stoopid Scottish git...

The name of this trail is well deserved. It is muddy, full of roots, and is seldom maintained, so having some basic first aid supplies should be considered mandatory. Expect to shed some DNA, by the time you get done. And wear your helmet!

As mountain bikes are the preferred mode of travel out there, please give them the right of way, if you attempt this on foot. When you get to the posted coordinates, locate a soda bottle preform. It contains information which will hopefully lead you to Riffster's ammo can, not far off.

This cache was approved by the Florida Forestry Service with permit # LE25-05.
