Nature as sculptor, destructive but fascinating.
You do not have to cross the canyon if you come from the best approach, but you may have to cross a fence. It is not private property, the Soil Conservation service put the fence in a few years ago to keep cars off their repair work (Yes, it used to be worse than this!) The cache is hidden in the hollow base of a tree.
Take care with kids and pets as they may fall into the canyon. And take care yourself as there is no guarantee on the stability of the cliff edges.
