This cache is hidden in the quiet countryside of Þingeyjarsveit, just a short walk from Grenjaðarstaður, one of the largest preserved turf farms in Iceland. For centuries this valley was home to prosperous farms, fishing, and salmon angling on the famous Laxá í Aðaldal river.
From here you’ll see a landscape shaped by both volcanoes and rivers — fertile farmland, lava fields, and wide skies typical of North Iceland. The area is rich in birdlife, especially in summer.
