Geocache Description:

Near Wagram along the Lumber River (Natural and Scenic!)

We recommend a short canoe or kayak trip to the area of the cache, putting in at N34° 50.601 -- W079° 20.880. It's about 1 to 1.5 hours to the cache by river so you'll want to leave a vehicle at the takeout spot first (in the vicinity of the cache) unless a 2.6 mile walk back to the put-in doesn't bother you. The river route is pleasant and easy paddling -- great for taking children. The cache is a blue-ish transparent plastic tupperware-like box and contains a Hoke County seal, a number of trinkets and Puff, the TravelBug, retrieved from a cache in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The cache site can be reached by car (within 500 feet) but what's the fun of that?
