Geocache Description:

About 3 miles SW of Portal, AZ in the Chiricahua National Forest. A short 10 minute hike from the Vista Point pulloff.

A Trogon guards this treasure. You may see him or hear his barking call as we did while placing this cache. The cache is an ammo can, placed under the larger of two parallel old logs in a small grove of trees. Be forewarned the Chiricahuas are full of rattlers so be careful where you go poking! Look for a small game trail about 65 feet east of the telescope. The entrance to the trail is bordered by two large rocks. Take the game trail eastward toward the treasure.
