The posted coordinates take you to the well-known Ice-Cream Cone building in Pflugerville. This gem of an establishment in the shape of a giant ice-cream cone may not have been mentioned in more than the pilot episode of the Friday Night Lights TV series, but it’s in the opening credits of the series with the name of "Twisters." Scenery is very important in story telling and you might be thinking it’s a giant ice-cream cone how can it be that important? Dillon is a fictional small west Texas town and a giant ice-cream cone shaped building is pretty on point with small town Texas. Whether or not you want to read into its cinematic effect it’s still a great place to stop and take a picture, while you still can. Though it might not be white with stripes anymore or even yellow, we still recommend the stop! The photo below is current.
The Adventure Lab entails a bit of driving around the area including South Austin and near the airport, so plan accordingly. You might just want to get a stage when you are nearby.
Check out the following youtube link to see the opening credits. "Twisters" is shown at about the 31-second mark.
