Greetings! We are WNC natives who have lived in Georgia for the past 30 years. The WNC mountains, however, will always be our beloved "home". They hold so many great memories that last a lifetime. We come to the Montreat area frequently, but this is our first time back since the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene one year ago. It will be great to be here again. Hopefully we can meet local geocachers or others who happen to be traveling in the area.
We will convene this short event in the Black Mountain Town Square park, located at the intersection of State Street (US 70) and Montreat Road (NC 9). We'll be at the benches near the splash pad, adjacent to the Fire Department. Look for the couple accompanied by a Boston Terrier. Trackable items are welcome for discovery or trade. If a significant weather event forces relocation or other action, we'll notify will-attends by way of announcement on this Event page. We look forward to it, and hope to see you there.
