The Islamic Complex Putrajaya located in Precinct 3 sits on a 2.28 hectares of land was completed in 2016. KIP which comprises 4 blocks is equipped with various facilities. It features Islamic architecture with its own aesthetic values motivated by “Islamic trellis” forming lace braiding provides natural lighting and reduces glare. This building has the concept of light, transparency and dynamics. The main canopy with a design like a semi-structured steel dome, subtly gives an interpretation of the decorative Islamic ornaments of muqarnas (three-dimensional decoration).
