Welcome to the Fall Fest 2025 81 Grid Series
This series will offer a variety of DT ratings throughout Brantford and Brant County - be prepared for almost anything. They are being placed for GCAX1X1 Fall Fest 2025, but are not part of the GeoChallenge and are NOT challenge caches. Some will be park and grabs, while others will involve longer hikes or TOTTs. Please check the descriptions and attributes for each cache and do not attempt anything outside of your comfort zone. These caches are being placed to appeal to a wide variety of caching levels and abilities.
The cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates. You will need to solve a puzzle to locate the container and sign the log.
The cache is a Large Ammo Cam, with a field puzzle inside. Please bring a writing instrument to sign the log, and replace as everything, including all compentents of the field puzzle, exactly as you found them.
In order to find this cache, you will need to complete the FF25 - Easter Egg Eggstravaganza! Adventure Lab, which you will find on the grounds of the Burford Agricultural Society Fairgrounds a few kilometers away.
This adventure lab will reveal the information required to complete the Adventure Lab.
Just in case you missed getting the unlock code from the adventure lab, the unlock code you need to open the container at the final is 1867.
The cache is a gadget cache, where you will need to figure out how to open it and access the log. Inside, there is only a logbook, so please do not try to cram trackables or swag items into this cache despite it's large size.
This cache is part of the Hatchley Gadget Trail. This moderate hike winds through the Hatchley Tract, a hiking tract with several gadget and/or unusual caches for you to find. These caches are not your typical peanut butter jar in a tree - read the directions on the cache page thoroughly to enjoy the experience. To complete the gadget trail, expect a 3.5-4km round trip hike with some bushwacking. This area becomes VERY wet during the late winter and spring, and you may wish to bring bug repellent, rubber boots, and your thinking caps.
Please note the terrain and difficulty ratings for this one - this is NOT a park n grab that takes 5 minutes or less. Be prepared for potential water crossing in the spring/summer months and lots of bugs in spring/summer/fall. This one will earn its T raing for sure.
