As if there weren’t enough reasons to get excited for 2025, the Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) is back!
Geocaching is full of moments that should be captured and shared with the global geocaching community. Whether you prefer comedies, dramas, or sci-fi adventures, GIFF is an opportunity to enjoy stories (both fictional and real) about geocaching.
This year’s GIFF theme is “TFTC—Thanks For The Community!” and the color is silver, the traditional gift for a 25th anniversary. Host or attend a GIFF Event to earn the GIFF 2025 souvenir!
This year is all about celebration. Not only are we celebrating 25 years of geocaching, but the amazing community that has built this game for a quarter century. That’s why this year’s GIFF theme is “TFTC—Thanks For The Community!”
We will host a viewing in the Jericho Congregational Church (JCC) Fellowship space in the JCC basement.
The event is included in the mappable list of 2025 GIFF events.
The posted coordinates should take you to a set of stairs leading down to the JCC Fellowship area. Wheelchair access will be available at the ADA Compliant Access waypoint. After entering the door, there is an elevator to the left that will take you to the basement level where the event will take place.

More than 60 filmmakers from 21 countries submitted a film to the 11th biennial Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF). What an amazing array of voices, ideas, and creativity!
We truly wish we could share each and every film we received this year, but then the final reel would be nearly three hours long!
After much deliberation, here are this year’s 20 GIFF finalists. These films stand out for their creativity, production quality, content, and contribution to the global geocaching community.
The Signal Award winner and People’s Choice winners will be announced in TBD.
At some point after the GIFF event window closes, the films will be available on Geocaching’s YouTube channel.
Schedule:
- 2:00pm: Arrive and chat with other attendees before the viewing starts.
- 2:30pm: Viewing begins. The films are expcted to run for about an hour, so there will be more time to visit after the viewing.
- 4:00pm: Finish, clean up, and head to our next destinations.
If you'd like, bring some snacks to share. There will be a table for trackables if anyone would like to bring some.
You will gain the GIFF 2025 souvenir by posting an Attended log. You can also gain a Celebrating GIFF treasure.
Parking Information:
The church and the community center share parking. You may park around the common across from the houses along Jericho Center Circle. Please observe the signs that indicate where the roadside needs to remain clear. Please do not park in the paved spots across from the Jericho Center Country Store.
