Welcome to the Fall Fest 2025 81 Grid Series
This series will offer a variety of DT ratings throughout Brantford and Brant County - be prepared for almost anything. They are being placed for GCAX1X1 Fall Fest 2025, but are not part of the GeoChallenge and are NOT challenge caches. Some will be park and grabs, while others will involve longer hikes or TOTTs. Please check the descriptions and attributes for each cache and do not attempt anything outside of your comfort zone. These caches are being placed to appeal to a wide variety of caching levels and abilities.
The cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates. You will need to solve a puzzle to locate the container and sign the log.
The cache has a very unique container, hand-crafted by the amazing Mrs. Captain Math, with only a logbook inside. Please bring a writing instrument to sign the log, and replace EXACTLY as found. You will need a TOTT (or two) to retrieve this one. Thank you also to CaptainMath for writing the puzzle for this hide.
While this may look like the story of a famous flying beagle caught in a World War One dog-fight, it's just as much about a famous Canadian who lived not far from here, a surgeon and poet of the time, mostly famous for one poignant work he wrote. About an hour's drive away - shorter by plane - is a statue honoring this famous Canadian. If you could catch a ride with Snoopy and fly 32.5238 km at a bearing of 12.974169 degrees, you could visit the statue and home of the famous Canadian mentioned above.
But you don't need to go to any such lengths to find this geocache. Find a copy of this Canadian's most famous work and use it to decode the following:
(1/6)
(6/2)
(8/8) - (8/7)
(14/4)
(6/5)
(5/1) - (5/2)

(11/4) - (11/5)
(13/4) - (13/3)
(3/4)
(8/8)

Then go to the decoded coordinates, being sure to take note of the attributes, and carefully retrieve the cache and sign your name.
