This cache has been archived.

gpsfun: This cache page has been archived. If the owner would like to replace the cache before another one is placed within 528 feet and have it reinstated, please contact me through my profile.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Travel Bug Rest Area!!!

REST AREA INSTRUCTIONS

The Travel Bug Rest Area is a Cache where you can go to trade one Travel Bug for another. The Rest Area is actually a cache container divided into 2 parts. The larger section houses several Travel Bugs. The smaller section has some trade items in it for Geocachers who just want to find a cache, but do not have a Travel Bug to trade out. However, the main purpose of this Cache is for Travel Bug exchange.

REST AREA RULES
  • Please only take a Travel Bug if you have a Travel Bug to leave.
  • If you have a Travel Bug you just want to drop off without taking one, this is OK.
  • Help the Travel Bug you take along on its journey.
  • If a Travel Bug remains in the cache for an extended period of time, the owner of the cache will "evict" the traveler and help it on its journey by depositing it in another cache.
  • If the owner of the cache is traveling towards the destination of a Travel Bug, he may abduct him and help him along on his journey.

LOCATION INFORMATION

  • The cache is located off Exit #53 on Interstate 95.
  • The coordinates should put you at the edge of a small wooded area surrounding a small, shallow drainage pond, behind a restaurant, and between another restaurant and a hotel. The cache is within 50 feet or so of the coordinates down the waterline and you should have no difficulty finding it.
  • There should be some ziplock bags in the cache to ensure that nothing gets wet. Place the Travel Bugs inside them when you visit, and please do not remove any bags.
  • Please be sure to replace the cover tightly and re-conceal the cache when finished so non-geocachers won't accidentally locate it.
  • If you get a chance, drop in The Historic Glass House Seafood Restaurant. I designed the menus for this establishment and I may be in there at the bar.
