Geocache Description:

I can hear Shrek saying this to Sissypoo as she enters "his" swamp!

Join us on Friday, October 17 for another fun night at the Kingsport Theatre Guild as Sissypoo has landed a role in the fairy tale story of Shrek.  We're gathering to share tales of the caching trails (swamp) before Sissypoo gets all theatrical later that evening!  You know how "dramatic" she can be! 🤣 You DO NOT have to attend the performance to log the event, so all you green Ogre's come on out and share your swamp tales (but not swamp tails, please! 🤭). 🎭 We'd love to hear your latest big swamp adventures and I know most of us have some good ones!

The Kingsport Theatre Guild is located inside the Renaissance Center.  We'll be meeting on the second floor near the theatre.  The coordinates will bring you to the parking lot located behind the building. There is limited parking in front of the building and some street parking. If you come in through the front entrance you will be close to the elevator.

One famous quote in the Shrek movie:  What are you doing in my swamp?  Shrek's goal in the first film is to procure peace however he can. Whether being visited by Donkey, bothered by fairy-tale creatures, or summoned to Farquaad's court itself, he constantly asks what others are doing in his swamp. He just wants to live his life alone.  Curiously, this famous quote would become a recurring theme in the series. In Shrek Forever After, he continues to receive visitors since no one is scared that he'll kill and eat them anymore. Shrek longs for the days when he could chase humans away rather than just tolerate them.
