Driving to this cache will be as much fun as your hunt on foot. I
challenge you to try driving to this cache using only your gps, but
do bring a printed roadmap, you'll be glad you did. Try it from
I-380 . . . Note the Amana Billboard by an outhouse, you're almost
there. When you've you've found the road in, it looks like a
driveway with a house on the left. (green mailbox, # 13024) The
long lane takes you right to the county property.)
I hope you have as much fun finding this cache as we had hiding it!
This old quarry is now public land, some people like to hunt game
here, and some people like to hunt fossils here. Look around while
you are here, the rocks are filled with tiny fossils.
There used to be 2 separate cache boxes to find, hence the
"multi" label. Now it is just ONE CACHE LOCATION only a stone's
throw from the car (pun intended), but just like the car ride, the
most direct route is not necessarily the easiest. After you find
the cache, do take a stoll down a trail just to see there is more
to this park than a big rocky hole.
