World Postcard Day
Did you know that there’s an official day to celebrate postcards? October 1 is World Postcard Day! This day began in 2019 to mark the 150th anniversary of the postcard. Every year, postcard enthusiasts meet up to celebrate the occasion, even making special postcards and stamps! Geocaching and postcards go hand in hand. We all know the joy of opening a container—whether that be a mailbox or a geocache—and discovering something unexpected hidden inside.
Come down to the Cairns Esplanade and celebrate with us. This is a chance to catch up and share some caching stories, ask some clueful questions or just have a chat. This event is also a great opportunity to earn a new Geocaching souvenir to mark the occasion.
