Nearly 100 years after the Titantic disaster of 1912, another naval disaster took place off the coast of Italy in January 2012. A large cruise ship passed too close to a nearby island, striking rocks and taking on water. It lost power and ended up being trapped listing on its side. While many passengers escaped from the ship unharmed, a total of 32 people unforunately died. This disaster attracted considerable media coverage, in particular the actions of the captain who effectively abandoned ship with crew and passengers still aboard. He later recieved a length prison sentence for his actions that day.
To get the cache coordinates, input the name of this doomed cruise ship into Certitude. As is the case with other mystery caches in this informal "series" of interesing historical events, this is not intended to be difficult but rather a bit informative about things interesting to me. Hope you enjoy.
