🦊 The Legend of Brave Cub Maximus Traditional Cache

this is training cache #3 for the amazing Cub Scouts of Pack 1382 Alvey Elementary

have fun and remember to be respectful of people who live nearby.  don't go into peoples yards... probably shouldn't make this a night cache, but if you do, be aware there are houses nearby.  Good luck

Long ago, before these woods grew quiet, a young Cub Scout named Maximus joined the pack. Maximus was small, quick, and full of heart — always ready to “Do Their Best” and help the team.

One summer day, the pack set out for an adventure in these very woods. The Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears hiked together, following the trail, laughing and learning from their leaders. But as they reached the far edge of the forest, a sudden storm swept in. Dark clouds rolled over the treetops, rain poured down, and the path back became slippery and hard to follow.

The younger cubs grew scared, but Maximus remembered the Cub Scout Law: “A scout is helpful, brave, and prepared.” Thinking quickly, Maximus spotted a safe path along higher ground, far from the rushing water below. Maximus called to the others, and together, the pack followed — helping one another, staying calm, and making it safely back to their meeting place.

The leaders declared that day “Maximus’s Day” — a reminder that one Cub, using their training and courage, can help the whole pack. To honor Maximus’s bravery, the pack placed this orange box deep in the woods as a memorial to that moment. Inside, scouts who find it can sign their names and add themselves to the story, carrying the legend forward to the next generation of Cubs.

So, young adventurers… the challenge is yours now. Find the orange box, add your name, and become part of the legend of Brave Cub Maximus. 🌟
