The Ooh Rah Event
Town: Hyannis, MA
Location: Capetown Plaza, Panera Bread: Rain or shine.
Event Info: This Event is to gather and talk about caching and and the fun adventures we have all taken part in. This is an Ooh Rah Event. Today is the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The Marine's common expression is Ooh Rah. It can be used for motivation, as a greeting, encouragement, or just an expression of belonging. Every Marine since the early 1950's have been exposed to the term Ooh Rah in Recruit Training (Boot Camp) at Parris Island, South Carolina, San Diego, California or Officer's Candidate School in Quantico Virginia.
Participation: No requirement to attend throughout the entire time period or feel compelled to purchase any items at the event location, we just would like you all to come out and share a Marine-like-caching-experience story. We are certain you have one. Think of your mud walk, creek crossing, the rain, snow, sleet etc. How about those tenious balancing acts on a log, bridge, tower or in a tree! Those forced marches, (through Nickerson State Park) the steep hill hikes, assisting a wounded cacher/self, we have all done it! Come share those experiences we all enjoy with this game! See, Ooh Rah is a Geocaching thing!
Eagle and I are looking forward to seeing you at the event.... Ooh Rah!
