Trenčianske fontány

Trenčín patrí medzi najkrajšie slovenské mestá. Jeho dominantou je majestátny hrad, ktorý sa týči nad Váhom a stráži mesto už stáročia. Pod hradom však pulzuje život, ktorý sa odohráva na námestiach, v uličkách, v kaviarničkách a parkoch. Súčasťou tejto atmosféry sú aj fontány – miesta, ktoré spájajú históriu, umenie, vodu a ľudí. Fontány v meste neplnia len estetickú funkciu. Každá z nich má svoj vlastný príbeh – niektoré pripomínajú významné historické udalosti, iné sú spojené s umením či symbolikou, ďalšie jednoducho slúžia ako príjemné osvieženie počas horúcich letných dní. Okolo fontán sa zastavujú miestni aj turisti, oddychujú na lavičkách, stretávajú sa pri nich rodiny i priatelia. Táto labka ťa pozýva na prechádzku po Trenčíne, počas ktorej objavíš niekoľko fontán a dozvieš sa o nich viac. Každé zastavenie ti prezradí inú zaujímavosť – od historických súvislostí cez umelecké detaily až po príbehy, ktoré by si možno pri bežnej návšteve mesta vôbec nezachytil.

Trenčín Fountains

Trenčín is one of the most beautiful Slovak cities. Its dominant feature is the majestic castle, which rises above the Váh River and has guarded the city for centuries. However, life pulsates beneath the castle, taking place in squares, alleys, cafes and parks. Part of this atmosphere are also fountains - places that connect history, art, water and people. The fountains in the city do not only fulfill an aesthetic function. Each of them has its own story - some commemorate important historical events, others are associated with art or symbolism, others simply serve as a pleasant refreshment during hot summer days. Locals and tourists stop around the fountains, relax on benches, and families and friends meet near them. This LAB  invites you to take a walk around Trenčín, during which you will discover several fountains and learn more about them. Each stop will reveal something interesting – from historical context to artistic details to stories that you might not have noticed during a regular visit to the city.
