Save the ocean, we only have one
Garbage has been discarded into the oceans for as long as humans have sailed the seven seas or lived on seashores or near waterways flowing into the sea. Since decades, plastic use has increased dramatically, resulting in a huge quantity of nearly indestructible, lightweight material floating in the oceans and eventually deposited on beaches worldwide. While most people do not realize what the ocean look beneath the surface, snorkelers and divers watches the fishes and corals but also can see the pollution of our oceans.
During our honeymoon, we want to raise awareness of this problem and will do something (little) against that. This CITO is meant for snorkelers and scuba divers and other people who want to do something against the pollution in the beautiful Indic Ocean around the Riu Palace Maledivas Island.
Equipment: Please bring your own scuba diving or snorkeling equipment, including shoes!
We will recycle the collected waste!
