[EN] What kind of creatures, places, and legends dwell in the northeastern corner of Latgale? On the map of Latvia, there’s a small pocket right there, home to the town of Kārsava and the large village of Malnava, along the St. Petersburg–Vilnius railway line and only a few kilometers from the Russian border. Have you ever happened to be here? Because, seemingly, even just to pass through both towns, you really have to plan your route!
During Adv Lab I invite you to explore these two places and visit the most interesting sights. Before heading to Kārsava and Malnava, it’s definitely worth watching the show “Tas Notika Šeit”, filmed in 2024. As one of the stops I wanted to add Kārsava station, but since it’s a customs area and the platform is fenced off—I’ll leave that to your own discretion!
