High above the granite boulders, an eagle soars—majestic, watchful, and strong. But this eagle carries more than feathers and flight. It carries the spirit of scouting, the same spirit that guides young men and women who rise through the ranks of Scouts BSA to earn the highest honor: Eagle Scout.
Becoming an Eagle Scout is no small feat. It requires years of dedication, leadership, and service. A Scout must earn at least 21 merit badges, serve actively in leadership positions, and complete a service project that benefits their community. Less than 6% of Scouts ever achieve this rank, making it a distinction recognized around the world. Presidents, astronauts, and leaders of all kinds have stood proudly as Eagle Scouts.
Like the bald eagle—America’s national symbol—an Eagle Scout represents strength, vision, and responsibility. Both rise above, setting an example for others to follow.
