The Legend
Legend has it that the Rixdorfer Strohballenrollen first took place in 1737. Designed to promote local harmony, the event was contested between Rixdorfers and Bohemian refugees that had moved to the area. Banned in 1912 by Kaiser Wilhelm II, the tradition was brought back in 2008 until the last event in 2019.
The Race
During the race, each team of four in fancy dress roll a large haybale around the streets of Richardplatz. It is not just a case of speed – with points also awarded for originality and team spirit. Points are also deducted for hitting the kerb and going off track. There is a quiz to test the local knowledge of each squad.

The cache is located in the centre of the cobblestone streets where the Popráci took place. It should be a simple to find if you take the weight off your feet. Just watch out for muggles as it is a busy neighbourhood spot.

Der Legende nach fand das Rixdorfer Strohballenrollen erstmals 1737 statt. Die Veranstaltung sollte die lokale Harmonie fördern und wurde zwischen den Rixdorfern und den böhmischen Flüchtlingen ausgetragen, die in die Gegend gezogen waren. 1912 von Kaiser Wilhelm II. verboten, wurde die Tradition 2008 wiederbelebt und fand zuletzt 2019 statt.
Das Rennen
Während des Rennens rollet jedes vierköpfige Team in Kostümen einen großen Heuballen durch die Straßen des Richardplatzes. Es geht nicht nur um Geschwindigkeit – Punkte gibt es auch für Originalität und Teamgeist. Punkteabzug gibt es für das Berühren des Bordsteins und das Verlassen der Strecke. In einem Quiz wird das lokale Wissen jedes Teams getestet.

Der Cache befindet sich in der Mitte der Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen, wo das Popráci stattfand. Er sollte leicht zu finden sein, wenn du dir eine Verschnaufpause gönnst. Vorsicht Muggel, es handelt sich um einen belebten Ort in der Nachbarschaft.
