Take Note Multi-Cache

A three-stage multi. Log only. No room for swag. Bring a writing stick.

At the posted coordinates you will find an object well-known to geocachers as a cache host. To get the coordinates for Stage 2, take note of the four-character alphanumeric code on the object, as well as the label below. See the hint if you have problems at this stage.

Solve for N 33 31.??? and W 112 05.???.

To complete the North coordinates, add the first two digits in the second line on the label beneath the alphanumeric code to the posted North coordinates (178 + xx from the label).

To complete the West coordinates, double the number in the four-character alphanumeric code on the object.

Use Certitude to check your results (set to fuzzy solution; you'll get the green light if you're within 30').

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Then use your GPSr to navigate to Stage 2.. Answer the following questions to derive an alphanumeric code. Once you have the code, the next step should be obvious.

You are solving for ABC.DE FGHIJ

A = the last digit of the year on the plaque

B = number of doctors

C = number of L middle initials

D = number of Miltons + number of F middle initials

E = number of City Council members who are not the mayor

F = the first letter of the general contractor's last name (you want a letter, not a number, here)

G = the third digit in the year on the plaque

H = the very last letter on the plaque is sometimes misread as a __

I = number of letters in the architect's last name

J = number of first names that start with R
