Without a doubt the wine industry is the driving force behind Marlborough's economy and this cache is one in this series of Geo-art created to support the Top of the South 2026 Cachefest and compliments the CO's Wineries of Marlborough series.
At the time of listing Marlborough Wine show 137 wineries on their website and this Geo-art highlights a small portion of them.
NOTE: The Jigidi puzzle for this cache page depicts the cache winery, however we thought you may be interested in what rural Marlborough looked like 50 years ago, before the wine industry got fully established. The final GZ for this cache will take you to an area as yet unspoilt by the wine industry, but that is due to the topography of the terrain.
