This GeoCache allows for a charming walk along one of Culebra's best beaches. On the east side of the island one can watch the sun rise over the islands of Culebrita and El Cayo Norte. A paved road will take you to the beach where you can kick off your shoes for the walk to the GeoCache.
The GeoCache is at the north end of the beach near a rock outcrop. It is only 10-12 feet above sea level so hopefully it will make it through any future hurricanes. The GeoCache contains a logbook and all sorts of delights--poncho, flashlight, finger puppets, bumper sticker, etc. You also find a travel bug in the GeoCache--the Travelling Banjo. The travel bug would like to return to its home in the hills (Cove Creek Overlook GeoCache in Arkansas) after checking out some of the world.
