The Georgia Geocachers Association is excited to have its first NIGHT EVENT and the first GGA meeting during October in many years.
Come join us at beautiful Hard Labor Creek State Park from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Meet other cachers, talk geocaching, and most importantly - have a fun time!
There are at least TWO exciting opportunities for this unique event.
-
A COSTUME CONTEST! Have old Going Caching costumes? Have new costumes? Have scary costumes? Have cute costumes? Have any kind of costume? Feel free to dress up, and you might just win a fabulous prize!
-
A lesser known fact is that Hard Labor Creek has an observatory somewhere in the back of the park. Georgia State maintains the observatory and has graciously agreed to OPEN the observatory this evening for stargazing!
Bring your flashlights and UV lights, who knows what all could be planned...
Expect a few raffle prizes, maybe some trick or treats - it is October afterall!
Sunset is at 7:06PM. Let's hope for great caching stories, great costumes, great fun, and CLEAR SKIES as we have been given this very unique event opportunity!
Please be sure to log your Will Attends and if you are bringing guests so we can get an accurate count.
NOTE: There is a $5 fee for entry into Hard Labor Creek State Park, or free if you have an annual state park pass.
