About Hillsboro Adventure Lab Bonus
This SideTracked Cache is unique in that it is a bonus cache for the SideTracked -Hillsboro Max Stations Adventure Lab. This Adventure Lab takes you to 4 MAX stations in Hillsboro, plus the former Red Electric Interurban Station, all within a mile stretch. Four waypoints are on Washington St that MAX uses, and are also on the former right-of-way of the Oregon Electric Railway from 1908. Once you complete each AL waypoint, you will get a portion of the final coordinates for this cache. It is not far from the MAX Hillsboro Central station, and is by another station of sorts.
This cache is published on September 27th, the 200th anniversary of the opening of the first passenger railway station in the world, the Stockton & Darlington Station in the UK. In England, the opening in 1825 is a significant milestone. The first passenger train in the United States started in 1830 with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.
Remember, while working on the AL, to be aware when crossing MAX, or any railroad tracks, as a train can come from any direction at any time, and may be quieter and faster than you think.
