Geocache Description:

Minnesota Spirit Quest - MnSQ: Weckworth Cemetery

The cache is not located near a grave... Please be respectful and cache in, trash out. Also, please only search for cache during daylight hours.

At the posted coordinates, you should look for the gravestone of Henrette and Edward Klappenback. Edward, an immigrant from Germany, served in the American Civil War with the 7th Infantry, B Company as a 30 year old if he served when the Civil War started in 1861. There are discharge papers stating he was released from duty on May 22, 1965.

On the side of the gravestone, you will see the medal for the Grand Army of the Republic. The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Union Army (United States Army), Union Navy (U.S. Navy), and the Marines who served in the American Civil War. It was founded in 1866 in Decatur, Illinois, and grew to include thousands of "posts" (local community units) across the North and West. It was dissolved in 1956 at the death of its last member, Albert Woolson.

On the gravestone, Henrette passed away on what day? Consider this AB.
