Geocaching Blog about Earthcache:

Earn the International EarthCache Day 2025 souvenir by visiting any EarthCache and completing the logging requirements from October 10 through October 12, 2025.

Since 2004, EarthCaches have encouraged geocachers to explore and celebrate our planet’s extraordinary geological features.

Glaciers shape Earth’s surface and influence local ecosystems. Explore EarthCaches that highlight glacial landforms, meltwater streams, and other geological features in your area.

All non-Premium EarthCaches are open to everyone throughout the weekend on the Geocaching® app from 12:00:00 UTC on Friday, October 10, until 12:00:00 UTC on Monday, October 13, 2025. It’s a celebration for all, and we can’t wait to have you join us!

EarthCaches do not have physical containers. Instead, they take you to a location with unique geological features. Study your surroundings, answer the questions in the cache description, and send the answers to the cache owner. That’s all you have to do to log your find online!

The Washington State Geocaching Association sponsors this event. It is open to all geocachers: Olympic Peninsula area and surrounding chapter cachers and visitors, WSGA members and non-members, seasoned cachers and newcomers, and families are all welcome.
