Professor Huyang's Lessons

Professor Huyang, a Mark IV architect droid, has served the Jedi Order for thousands of years, teaching generations of younglings to construct their own lightsabers. In addition to being a quick wit and an excellent instructor, he's also a marvelous storyteller. Ask him about his own origins and he'll start all the way back in 25,020 BBY when he arrived at the Jedi temple in a big blue box...

Huyang has four lessons for you as you proceed along your journey to become a Jedi Knight.

Lesson 3: Kyber Crystals

The kyber crystal is the heart of the lightsaber. Each crystal forms a bond with the lightsaber's owner, channeling energy from the weapon's power source and focusing it into the distinctive plasma blade.

Huyang just discovered a new source of kyber crystals. Most commonly, padawans travel to Ilum and venture into the ice caves there to find the crystal that calls out to them. On Sissubo, a planet in the Chandila System, in an area known as Lost Mountain, Huyang found a rock outcropping with some exposed crystals. He's invited you and your fellow padawans to venture to Lost Mountain to find your own kyber crystals.

The posted coordinates will lead you to the spot where Huyang first discovered the kyber-bearing rocks. Search around here - you may find a crystal of your own.
