Geocache Description:

In addition to logging a Will Attend, please register on the Green Seattle Partnership website if you plan on participating in forest restoration. You do not have to register if you are only planning on cleaning up trash. Thank you.

I have hosted two forest restoration events and one trash cleanup event at this location before, and both were extremely successful. So why not do both?

At this event, you can either help with forest restoration or clean up trash from the nearby streets and neighborhoods. If you want to do a bit of each, why not? Just keep in mind: tools will be provided for forest restoration, but you need to bring your own trash cleanup tools.

Forest Restoration event description:

Do your part by helping restore this forest and keep it beautiful and healthy.

Expect some weeding and mulch spreading at this event, though there is a chance we will get to do some planting.

This event has been set up by the Green Seattle Partnership. Therefore, any questions you have about the forest restoration should go to them.

Trash Cleanup event description:

There is lots of trash in this area, especially on Cheasty Boulevard. Come and take a nice walk around the neighborhood, cleaning it up as you go. Please bring your own trash cleanup tools, including trash bags, grabbers, gloves, or anything else you might need.

Regardless of what you want to do, please meet at the posted coordinates at 12:45.

There is a Post-CITO event being hosted at a local coffee shop, see the event page here for more details.

The forest restoration option is open to people of any age, but attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign this form. Please bring it to the event with you or you will not be able to participate in forest restoration. The form is not required for trash clean-up, though neither I, the event host, or anyone from the Green Seattle Partnership, are responsible for any injuries that may occur during this event.
