Geocache Description:

Lihtne ühepunktimulti. Easy, one point.

On vanad egiptlased?

Raamatukogu on geosõbralik.

ENG:  It all started when a household located in the village of Kabli was renamed in 1797 to a new village - Dreimannsdorff. And so on, and on and on …  all that you can read on Wikipedia.

I, however, would like to tell you about the fact that with the arrival of the Soviets, a fisherman's collective farm was established here, tiny, tiny, called "Kalur". Namely less ambitious than, for example, "Kommunismi Lipp" in Uulu, collective farm "Vaal" in Pärnu and "Nõukogude Partisan" in Kihnu. In the end, of course, "Pärnu Kalur" swallowed them all.

But this tiny fisherman's farm had a good chairman, who built a kolkhoz club here according to Harri Kingo's standard project before the bigger ones got a foothold. But what makes this club a special place to this day, is the decorative artwork of sculptor Aulin Rimm. It is described as three female figures composed of metal toes locked in static poses, acting like ancient Egyptians in the middle of a fast-paced basketball game. The work was finished, and despite the change of times, it is still on the wall of the hall, highly appreciated by the locals.

You can see it when the doors are open and you dare to ask. But so, that it's not just empty talk, I'll add a picture here as well. Are there ancient Egyptians?

Library is geofriendly.
