Geocache Description:

Hidden within the Ganaraska Forest Area, this cache will prove to be well worth the trip! Cache Elevation is 280m.

Our geocache is a large ammo box filled with many neat trinkets. Parking is at N 44 04.457 W 078 30.195 and the Trail Head starts at N 44 04.482 W 078 30.092. This is a beautiful walk for the whole family! At the Forest Centre there is a $6.00 per person day pass payable at the front gate (no charge for youths).

This cache is accessible during all seasons by hikers, mountain bikers, cross-country skiers, snow-mobilers, horse-back riders, and four-wheelers. Be sure to keep the parking lot marked as the trail system is quite complex! The Ganaraska Forest (est. 1946) encompasses 10,400 acres, formerly farmland that has been reforested and developed into a recreational conservation area.

If you seek this cache in the summer, be watchful for poisin ivy, there is a fair bit of it in the area.
