There are a lot of unlikeable characters in Grimms' tales. In this story, The Fox and the Horse, the owner of the old horse kicks him out of the barn because he's old and can't plow anymore. He meets a fox who helps get the horse back into the owner's good graces, but the owner is never punished for his meanness. Anyhow, you can read the story here: The Fox and the Horse
