Tips for a successful CITO:

  • Dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Wear sturdy, closed-toed footwear. We will be doing the CITO on a slope.
  • Garbage bags will be supplied for those who log a "Will Attend" by October 9th. Please bring your own bag if you decide to join us at the last minute.
  • Please bring your own gloves and garbage pickers.
  • Do not touch unknown items, syringes, glass or other sharp objects. Mark the coordinates and let me know the location.
  • Leave natural materials behind (leaves, deadwood, bones, etc).
  • If working near a pathway, be careful of cyclists, runners and walkers.
  • Do not remove large items (bikes, tires, sleeping bags, etc). Mark the coordinates and let me know the location.
  • Please bring bags of trash back to posted coordinates. DO NOT dispose of trash in bins.
  • Please return to the posted coordinates by 10:55 am for a group picture.
