This cache is located in the Mississippi Palisades State Park near Savanna, Illinois
Be prepared to “take a hike” to find this conventional cache. Start at the parking lot near the main entrance to the park and follow the High Point trail north to the shelter/overlook located at the trails end. The cache is a standard ammo box with the normal goodies. Since the cache is fairly close to the trail, some discretion is needed if non-geocacher’s are near by. Plan to spend some time at the rustic shelter house. The view of the Mississippi River Valley is breathtaking (or was it the long hike)!
