Geocache Description:

10-4 Radioman!

Radioman passed on September 6, 2025 after a life full of challenges: a broken femur, hemorhaggic stroke and cancer. But, he never gave up. He always kept trying. He figured out how to tie knots using one hand and his mouth. He could start the lawn mower with his teeth. He was able to screw in screws using his mouth, the one hand and a screwdriver.

Radioman had aphasia, a result of his stroke.

Aphasia is an acquired communication disorder that impairs a person’s language abilities. Learn about the types of aphasia and terminology used by doctors and therapists.

It was always a challenge to understand what he wanted or needed at times. But we made it work, figuring out ways to comprehend what he was trying to communicate.

Mike will be missed by so many. He was such a special guy that made a difference in the geocaching community.

10-7 Radioman. RIP.
