A series of 10 caches taking you along the River Yare in the RSPB nature reserve at Surlingham. This series is a pleasant stroll of around 2.7km consisting of a mixture of cache types. The reserve offers the chance to see a variety of wildlife during your visit here and you may even spot an otter.

Parking is available near to #1 at the church.
The path can get muddy and slippy in places during wet months so suitable footwear is advised. Please be aware the boardwalk can be quite slippery when wet. Be aware there is open water nearby so please keep children under supervision.
Please note that whilst dogs are allowed they must be kept on a short lead at all times.

The Church of St Mary, Surlingham is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. As well as being a place of worship it hosts a variety of community events, from messy church to concerts. The adjacent Church Marsh nature reserve is overlooked by the ruins of St Saviour’s church.
St Mary’s bells have been in place since the 14th Century. The bells were restored and augmented in 1999.

At the start coordinates you will need to go to the church lychgate and look at the inscription in wood on your left. There is a sentence at the bottom, we need the first three words of that sentence.
