Look for the Geocache sign on the telephone pole and use the path to find your way to the cemetery, following the property line. Geocachers have permission to use the path. DO NOT USE the driveway.
O'Ree Cemetery, formerly Dymond Cemetery (aka Mactaquac Heights Black Cemetery)
A peaceful rural cemetery that could use a few more Geo-Visitors. Please be respectful as you explore—this is a place of rest and remembrance.
Take a few moments to wander and read some of the old headstones. There’s history here, written in stone and softened by time.
The cache is not located on any graves or gravestones, so no need to disturb the resting. You’ll need to bring your own pen to sign the log.
While you're here… did you see or hear any crows or ravens? They’re often nearby, watching from the trees.
