I live locally and have been surprised for a large town, how few geocaches there are nearby and accessible if you do not have a car and visit the villages.
Queen Elizabeth Park was named after The Queen Mother to celebrate her 80th birthday in 1980 - to mark the occasion 80 trees were planted, many of which are still there today.
There are extensive woodlands,, a fishing lake and extensive grassland. The river Witham runs through it.
My aim is to do a loop of caches within the park which is open and accessible 24/7 and then extend theloop through to the other 2 parks that are connected by the river Witham and all within walking/cycling distance.
The cache
At the base of a MTT the cache can be found in a medium sized plastic container covered in green tarp, please replace and recover to camouflage the cache .
