Geocache Description:

Scarborough Covered Bridge became one of my most beloved places during my regular runs through Cherry Hill when living nearby for 1 year with my family. We moved to New Jersey from Europe in 2025, and love the area.

This cache was created as a starting point for a special geocaching gift for my father, who is a passionate geocacher.

The cache is not placed on the bridge. Search nearby.
There is some traffic on the bridge, so be careful while hunting.

Scarborough Covered Bridge

Scarborough Covered Bridge, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is a charming reminder of the region’s history and craftsmanship. Built in 1959 by builder Malcolm Wells, the bridge is not an original 19th-century relic but a carefully designed homage to traditional covered bridges that once dotted the American landscape. Spanning the North Branch Cooper River within the Barclay Farm neighborhood, it has become a local landmark, beloved for its rustic wooden structure and picturesque setting.

The bridge is still open to vehicular traffic and serves as both a practical crossing and a cultural attraction, drawing visitors who enjoy its nostalgic design and photogenic appeal. With its blend of function and heritage, the Scarborough Covered Bridge highlights how communities preserve historical character while adapting it to modern life.
