The Great Route 66 Tiki TB Race
You are invited to join our fun, casual, long-running, and somewhat challenging Travel Bug Race.
Participation is completely optional. There are no prizes, no entry fees, and no obligations. The reward is simply the satisfaction of watching your Travel Bug's adventures unfold.
If you'd like to participate:
- Mention in your online logging, that you'd like to join the race
- There is an evelope in the cache container with entry cards. Fill it out and leave it in the evelope.
Throughout the race, your Travel Bug will earn points for completing various challenges, such as:
• Travel a designated number of miles
• Having photos posted to its page
• Visit or be placed in a specific geocache
• Visit 10 randomly assigned U.S. states
• Having another cacher attach an item to it and post a photo of the addition
• Visit or be placed in another geocache with ‘Tiki’ in its title at some point during its journey
The cache owner will provide race updates every couple of months via email so participants can follow the progress.
One final note: if a Travel Bug goes missing, it goes missing. Unfortunately, no replacement or proxy Travel Bugs will be issued.
