Ecola Creek Forest 1
This is the first of a
series of nine caches on a beautiful hike just east of Cannon Beach. The
hike follows a dirt road open to hikers, cyclists and dogs.
IMPORTANT: The road
is occasionally closed for utility service or during times of higher fire
danger. Be sure to check online for the status of the Cannon Beach Ecola
Creek Forest Reserve.
To reach the parking
area and trailhead from Highway 101, follow E Sunset Blvd and Elk Creek Road.
The parking area is provided as a waypoint.
Cell reception is
limited due to the heavy tree cover. If you are using a phone for caching,
it might pay to preload the cache listings for offline access.
This first cache is just a short distance past the gate. Enjoy the hike!
